Meet The Team

Matthew Ahrens serves as Vice President of Operations at SouthGate Companies, where he oversees portfolio operations, process improvement, and organizational execution. He brings more than 15 years of experience in real estate investment and operations, including senior leadership roles at firms managing over $1 billion in assets. Prior to joining SouthGate, Matthew served as Executive Vice President at a Southern California real estate investment firm, where he helped scale the organization and led strategy, operations, and team development.

Matthew holds degrees in Finance and Accounting from Iowa State University and a Master’s in Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California. He brings deep operational expertise and strong financial acumen, making him a key leader as SouthGate continues to grow its assets and team.
