who we are

our team

SouthGate Companies has been managing commercial properties since 1962. The Commercial Services team has over 50 years of combined experience in property management. This includes tenant relations, lease administration, vendor management and detailed accounting.

Chris Villhauer

is the Commercial Property Manager for SouthGate Commercial Services. Chris is a lifelong resident of the Iowa City area and has been with SouthGate Companies since 2004. Chris manages nearly 400,000 square feet of commercial retail, office, and industrial space throughout multiple locations in the Iowa City Corridor area. He also manages Commercial Condominium Associations.

Trevor Davison

is the Commercial Services Manager for SouthGate Commercial Services. Trevor has been with SouthGate Companies since 2002. Trevor’s wealth of knowledge and ability to diagnose and fix a problem is a tremendous strength to SouthGate.

brenda carver

is the Accountant at SouthGate Commercial Services. Brenda has been a valued employee of SouthGate since August 2006. Brenda’s extensive experience with financial reports, CAM reconciliation, budget development is a great asset to SouthGate.
